I am extremely happy that I had the opportunity to be part of the Regional Business Forum of the Bulgarian-Turkish Women’s Business Club.
I would like to thank all the organizers and participants for creating such an inspiring and supportive environment that not only helps us connect with each other, but also to develop new ideas and opportunities.
This meeting was a real inspiration for me – I learned many new things, met interesting people and established valuable contacts.
In addition to our business growing, I am confident that mutual support and shared ideas are what help us develop even better and faster.
I believe that such meetings create the foundation for our common success.

Charity Initiative in Shumen: Businesswomen on a Mission for the Children’s Ward
Raising funds for the relocation of the Children’s Ward in the Shumen Multi-profile Hospital was one of the main goals of the Bulgarian-Turkish Women’s Business Club. Today, the ladies gathered for a forum in Shumen, and the charity auction was organized during the dinner at 7:30 PM.
The regional forum of the Bulgarian-Turkish Women’s Business Club had several important objectives. In addition to aiming to increase awareness of successful business practices, the ladies set themselves the task of raising funds for the relocation of the Children’s Ward from the old building to the Surgical Block, for which around 800,000 BGN are needed.
“The official dinner tonight will also be a charity event, and the proceeds will go to the Children’s Ward of the hospital in Shumen. There will be paintings by our honorary member, Erten, who painted and donated them,” said the president of the Bulgarian-Turkish Women’s Business Club, Turkyan Turkyar-Karova.
At the forum in Shumen, the ladies also launched their campaign “Life Without Violence,” aimed at victims of domestic violence. “This campaign will start and continue for many years because we will not give up. Typically, campaigns start and end after six months or only during the month against violence. We want to travel around Bulgaria and empower women who have encountered violence or are currently experiencing it,” the organizers shared.
One of the planned measures is creating a mobile phone application that acts as a panic button in case of need, similar to one available in neighboring Turkey.
The mayor of Shumen, Prof. Hristo Hristov, expressed his support for the club’s activities. “The club’s leadership came to see me, and in just 15-20 minutes, they convinced me that the outcome of such a forum will create conditions for the realization of ideas, the establishment of contacts, and the enhancement of the economic results of existing business organizations in our city,” the mayor emphasized.
Prof. Hristo Hristov and Turkyan Turkyar exchanged gifts. The mayor received a thank-you plaque, while Turkyar was delighted with a crystal flower. Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy Natalia Efremova, who was among the official guests of the event, also pledged her support.
The motto of the businesswomen is: “Together we can do more,” and they are determined to prove this. Through their initiatives and charity activities, they not only contribute to the development of the local community but also set an example of social responsibility and active civic engagement.
