Three Girls in Bulgarian Flag-Colored Dresses Impress Thousands on Social Media

A photo of three girls dressed in dresses in the colors of the Bulgarian flag became a sensation on Bulgaria’s National Day – March 3rd.

The impressive photograph went viral on social media and garnered immense interest in just a few hours. Dressed in white, green, and red against the backdrop of the Memorial Complex “Creators of the Bulgarian State,” they raised the national spirit of Bulgarians and made them prouder than ever of their glorious history.

The author of the beautiful shots is photographer Nadya Kaneva from Shumen. The idea was born less than a month ago during a trip abroad. The photos were taken on February 23rd.

“I did a photoshoot where I was photographed in a similar dress. I told myself that this should be done in Bulgaria and not just done, but for March 3rd with the Bulgarian tricolor. I imagined it and immediately started working on the idea. On the day of the shoot, it was cold, but all the participants were inspired by my idea, and the adrenaline didn’t let us feel the cold. The shooting lasted about 2 hours, with several assistants. Anna Burnuchyan took care of the girls’ makeup, who is an integral part of my projects,” Nadya Kaneva excitedly told shumenonline.bg.

The photos feature Valeria, Alexandra (Miss Bulgaria 2022), and her daughter Siana. The design of the beautiful dresses is the work of the seamstress Feri, who, despite a broken arm, managed to sew them in five days.

“I love to travel, be inspired, and realize projects with which to represent our city, myself, and Bulgaria. Thank you to everyone who participated in the realization of my idea. Thank you also to all my clients who inspire and support me, for all of them I continue to develop and create,” says the young photographer.

In the first hours after publication, the photos enjoyed immense interest on social media. They gathered numerous likes and positive comments, and were subsequently shared by other people and pages.

This is not the only project that Nadya is working on. A few months ago, she realized a project based on the idea of Anna Yoncheva “The Different” children of Bulgaria. In it, she told the stories of children with disabilities.

The woman from Shumen has been engaged in photography for eight years. Since this year, she has been organizing trainings attended by photographers from all over Bulgaria.
